Dog Show Project, Fehraltorf, Switzerland 2025

It was our first show since Crufts 2025 in March, and the first show of the 2025 Summer season. I always like the Swiss National Show over two days as it's a great warm up and always gives me an idea of how the boys are handling and what we need to work on.
Well it seems our work earlier in the year paid off as all boys did exceptionally well and we had some great results. Henry, our BIG champion boy was a bit off on his movement and thanks to getting him out there I saw this and now we will work on it. I think sometimes it's easy to have such a big Champion as Henry and get complacent but that's not how I look at it, we will keep working and improving and resetting some bad habits.
William has taken the step up to intermediate class however I know he's far off the finished article. He's still growing into his big body and it's taking some time but these things cannot and should not be rushed. He handles himself with such confidence in the show ring and moves like a dream. It will all come together...patience!
The show, sadly, didn't attract a huge entry this year probably due to there being some other larger International shows being held at the same time within reach of Switzerland.
Overall it was a lovely weekend at a well organised show. We enjoyed it and the boys did absolutely brilliantly.
